Throughout the years there have been many different design trends. For example brutalism and even motion. Some of the trends today I can picture working out in the field while others I cannot. Out of all the trends, I feel as if I have seen these the most.

3D/ Bubbly Text

70’s Nostalgia

Color Clashing

Bubbly text in the design world of 2024 allows typography to have more dimension and personality. By combining the 3D effect to bubble letters, this creates an eye-catching creation. The 3D effect I have never played with before but I am willing to learn.

70’s Nostalgia is based off of the 1960s as well as the 1970s. This trend is known for the faded color pallet, checkers, and retro stripes. This design trend I have mainly seen in Chicago more than my home town. I enjoy the mascots that arise in this trend. I am a huge fan of the gloves and shoes they wear since it is very similar to Mickey Mouse.

Color Clashing is exactly what it sounds like. Combining bright colors that clash may hurt a viewers eyes, but from a design point it is genius. The harsh clash that these colors give off attracts the eyes of the audience fairly quick. I have seen this mainly in skate shop magazines
